This is the story of a village in the interiors of Kokan, a western, coastal line of India. It is a love story of a young couple in that village. There happens a ritual in that village once in every 3 year "GAVPALAN". It a traditional lockdown, where the entire village shuts its border and the villagers with their livestock stay out of their homes in the forest for 5 days. Today, the entire village is decorated for the "Jatra" a traditional fair. The love story of Shyam and Payal begins to blossom in this fair. In a turn of events Payal's family come s to know about their love. Payal's family do not accept their love since Shyam is from a lower caste. They both realise that they cannot live together in the village, and therefore decide to flee to Pune. Since the Anti-Superstition Committee had created a commotion when such lockdown was planned the last time hence, the villagers plan to start the Gavpalan secretly and sooner than usual i.e. the very next day of Jatra. Shyam and Payal get stuck in this sudden lockdown. Since it is strictly forbidden to inside the village. All the villagers leave the village and start living in the forest. Due to this social tradition, the story of Shyam and Payal remains incomplete. No matter how advanced the country becomes it lingers around stereotypes, caste systems and outdated traditions. The story of Payal and Sham is lost in the haze of ghosts and superstitiousness and that have possessed the minds of the villagers for years
